Beards in the Victorian era

During the Victorian era, men’s beards were often seen as a sign of virility and wisdom, but keeping them tidy was a challenge. To solve this, a popular accessory was the “beard bib” or “beard cup,” which was a special teacup with a small guard to protect the user’s facial hair from getting wet or stained while drinking.

So, while women worry about our lipstick, men had to worry about their beards!
