Spear Phishing

Phishing is a global phenomenon and one of the most common forms of cybercrime. Scammers often use deceptive emails, text messages, or phone calls to pose as legitimate organizations—like banks, government agencies, or well-known companies—to trick individuals into revealing sensitive information such as passwords, account numbers, or Social Security numbers. These attacks are highly effective, with the average click rate for a phishing campaign being around 17.8%, and more targeted “spear phishing” campaigns having a click rate as high as 53.2%.
